GOD GIVEN GIFTS

“We all have different gifts. Each gift came because of the grace God gave us.” Romans 12:6(ERV)

There must have been times when we looked at someone else and thought that they had amazing gifts and talents which we wished for. It’s always easy to come to a conclusion that other people’s gifts are better than ours. We’re wrong if we still do think that way.

God has graciously bestowed upon each of us, special and unique gifts and talents, for a common good. It doesn’t matter whose gifts seem best; but the important thing is to know that all gifts are given by God to us, in order to be used for the benefit of others- hence glorifying God. None of them are to be boasted about, because we couldn’t earn it and we received it through complete grace. They are not gifts for us to use selfishly, just to enjoy and get credit for; but they are used to build the Church of God and His Kingdom. According to the Scriptures, these gifts of God are diverse which include, charity, compassion, service, helping, faith, healing, teaching, prophesying, praying, management skills, laboring, and so on. God did not design any of us to work alone; He has spread His gifts among us, so we could work together in oneness to bring glory to the name of Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches us that we are all one body in Christ Jesus, Him being the Head. For the whole body to be able to work at its best, it’s important that every part plays its role in the best way possible. Therefore, whatever gifts and talents that God has given us, let us embrace them, and use them in the way He wanted us to. Let’s keep offering our gifts back to God and to His Kingdom and glorify Jesus Christ. Amen!
