“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
Hope is the confident expectation on the promises of God. The world completely understands ‘hope’ in a different way; it defines hope as a feeling of expectation or a feeling of trust. Biblically, it is never about a feeling, but it’s our complete confidence in Christ Jesus. Christian hope isn’t found in the circumstances, but in one person, Jesus Christ, who, through His life, death and resurrection has given us a living hope.
In Bible we see many amazing men and women, who found hope in God amidst their difficult situations. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed in God’s promise. He had absolute hope in God; and accordingly he was made the father of nations. In the New Testament, we see the sick bleeding woman believed deeply within her that if she would touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed. Her intentional decision to have hope and confidence on Jesus’ healing power, was appreciated by Him.
One of the biggest challenges we face in our lives today, is to never loose hope. It’s hard to trust and wait for our desires that never seem to come. But the hope that we have in Jesus is the anchor that holds us during storms. It is the fuel for our future. Our hope is- Jesus Christ died for us, He resurrected for us and therefore all His promises are yes and Amen in Him.

Amen
