GREAT GRACE

“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.” Psalm 145:8

God’s grace and mercy are two of His greatest characteristics. We live in the season of His great grace. Grace gives us what we do not deserve; yes, His love for us is not dependent on our performances. God never defines us by our flaws and sins. We are set free from striving for perfection because all of us will surely fall short of the glory of God.

Through Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of our lives, we are entitled to receive His grace for all our disgrace. His sacrifice on the cross, breaks all the hindrance to receive the fullness of what God has for us. We need to put off the things that try to steal our joy and happiness in Him, and focus our attention on the gift of grace that is available to us through Jesus. The memory or guilt of our past and the uncertainty of our future might become a burden to us. But by the assurance in Christ’s finished work on the cross, we receive His grace in abundance which gives us hope.

Yesterday is gone and nothing can be undone; tomorrow is not yet a surety to worry about. Today is the day to seek God for His Great Grace! God will magnify Himself in the midst of our situations and circumstances right today. Let us not focus on our failures and situations that disqualifies us, but turn our focus on Jesus Christ who qualifies us through grace by surrendering ourselves unto Him. He forgives us and lets His grace flow over us. Our situations aren’t greater than God’s Grace. Amen!
