“For by one sacrifice, He has perfected forever those who are being made holy.” Hebrews 10:14
The entire Christianity revolves around one historical event: the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”(Mat 11:23) This is an invitation to the entire human race. No matter what may be our problems or burdens or need, God has an answer. But there is only one place where we can find the answer; the cross of Calvary on which our Savior died. It is through cross alone, we may receive answers.
In Hebrews 10:14 we read that by the sacrificial offering of Jesus, He perfected forever those who are made holy and sanctified. His sacrifice comprehends every single need of the entire human race; and furthermore it is everlasting to eternity. It is at the cross where the divine exchange takes place. Bible reveals us many different aspects of exchange throughout. But one thing is constant: the evil came upon Jesus, so that the good may be offered to us. “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, by His stripes we are healed.”-Isaiah 53:4,5.
How do we exchange our griefs for His peace, our sicknesses for His healing? It is by acknowledging ourselves as sinners and believing that we are been forgiven by Jesus who bore our punishment. When we believe in the cross and be thankful for His sacrifice, all are needs are met. None of us has ever done anything or could do, to deserve His sacrifice and offering. It is all by His grace. Let us not worry over our lives and needs, but cast everything unto Him because He cares for us. All we need to do is to take everything to the cross and surrender ourselves to Him. He will exchange all things for our good. Amen!
