GOD TURNS IT FOR GOOD!

 “But as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” Genesis 50:20

           We are all faced with situations that overwhelm us and take us through difficult paths. We might wonder where things went wrong. At times, we doubt the presence of God in our lives. But we need to remember that, whenever life seems out of our control, our God is still in control. The enemy sets traps to defeat us, for he comes only to steal, kill and destroy. But our God will turn it all to our good, and will fulfill His purpose in our lives. 

           David faced a huge giant Goliath, who threatened the entire nation. With the confidence and faith he had in the God of Israel, David stepped forward to battle against the giant. We all know how the story goes. Goliath was armed fully and had a huge sword, with which he thought he would defeat the opponent. But it happened that, David killed Goliath with Goliath’s own sword- the very thing he had to kill David. When we fix our eyes on the Lord and act according to His calling, He will turn what the enemy intended for our destruction, to our advantage. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” 

          God will take the very tool which the devil designed to harm us, and give it in our hands to overcome him. ‘Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good’- Romans 12:21. God’s plan and purpose in our lives were established even before the foundation of the earth were laid. No enemy can destroy what God has in store for us. The only thing we need to do is, to trust in the Lord our God, and follow Christ Jesus. Yes, whatever evil may arise against us, God will turn every single thing to our good for His glory. Amen!
