“My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:2
The Bible clearly teaches us that God is our Helper. He knows all our needs and our situations. He orchestrates everything in our lives. Our God is interested in every detail of our lives; for the verse says that the Lord directs the steps of the godly.
We may go through tough times, or days when we are tempted to give up on our efforts. But the Bible gives us hope that God is with us, as in Isaiah 41:10 God says, ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ What a message of hope! We might read a lot of similar scriptures in the Bible, but still feel helpless in certain circumstances. When problems arise, we immediately tend to solve it by ourselves and end up in a mess. At times we forget that God is waiting to intervene in our situations. We need to understand that God’s hand is stretched out to help us in our needs. It’s only the matter of allowing Him to help us, rather than trying to solve it by ourselves. God is the source of everything we can imagine.
Yes, our God knows all our weaknesses and shortcomings. He says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.” So let us seek unto the Lord at all times, all days of our life. He is always available to help in our difficulties. Let us declare that, ‘Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He has mercy on us.’- Psalm 123:2 Amen!
