“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
Peace is the state of quietness in our soul and spirit. Every man wants to lead a peaceful life. Inner peace doesn’t come from satisfying material needs, but by believing who we are in Christ. Our God is peace; and when we are draw closer to Him, we experience His peace which surpasses all understanding.
Today, the whole community strives to get better and accomplish something, but eventually lost love, happiness, joy and peace. The things of this world may give us temporary satisfaction, but it leaves a vacuum inside of us. In recent days, we see so many people go behind meditations and yoga practices, in order to attain peace in their lives - but in vain. In John 14:27 Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Peace is the gift from God and the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is called the ‘Prince of Peace’.
When our faith is anchored in this God of peace, no matter how situations change in our lives, He gives His peace to us. Peace is not the absence of problems, but the presence of God. When our trust is on Him, our eyes don’t look on to the circumstances, but completely rely on His promises. He Who began a good work in us, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Let us abide under the shadow of the Most High God and receive His peace to radiate it to the world. Amen!
