THE CLOCK IS TICKING!

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15,16

We all know that, ‘the time and tide waits for none.’ Time is a mystery. Ecclesiastes states, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” In today’s world, we are too busy making a living for us; and pathetically, we hardly live the life we want. We run unceasingly, getting  nowhere in life. We put a lot of effort and spend years in our education, jobs, businesses and profits of this world; but how much do we invest for our Eternity?

Yes, the clock is ticking! And with every tick of the clock someone dies somewhere, and one of those ticks has our name on it. What is after that? Or what have we earned for our after life? Yesterday is our past, over which we do not have power; but the time to come, lays upon us the possibility to make the right choices. Paul in the book of Romans says, “ now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.....; put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”

Lost time is never found again. We better not waste our time in worldly pleasures, pride, anger, regrets, worries and grudges: life is too short for it. Instead let us make it a point, to do a little something each day, to move a step closer to God. ‘Now’ is the right time to invest on it. Because, those who plan to seek God at the eleventh hour, sadly dies at 10:59. Let our hearts and minds be awaken in Christ. Amen!
